Description

I am still working on trying to create realism.... I came across an amazing texture at www.mec4d.com and thought i'd see what I can do with it. I created appropriate morphs, bump and spec maps etc.. for it and chose various lighting combinations to try and create realism. I think I am getting there. Please feel free to comment etc.. :) ** No Postwork ** *** Update: The artifact I found (eventually!) was that I had misaligned one of my maps, and must have 'bumped' the tiling on a spec map I created ever so slightly. As this was a WIP render I saw no-need to repost. The next one I do using this Amazing texture I will aim for even more realism {if possible.. for me that is :) }) *** One day I hope to get something very realistic. Once I have a handle on that, I'll try modelling characters from scratch.

The base model is a Poser M2 model, morphed then imported into Max using the Riess Studio plugin. Note: This render is about realism, so not need to comment that its a poser figure. I have noticed that a lot of people have stopped mentioning that a poser figure is used in their renders, due to unnecessary comments

I think you've done an amazing job: The only flaw that stands out is the sharp texture seam line straight down under the ear. Other than that, it's like a photo.

Yeah, I think that artifact is from one of the additional maps I created for the texture map. (most likely spec map).
