Description

I've been posting mostly photography lately so I thought it was time for something different. I have been working an all kinds of projects, mainly using wings 3D, and I keep starting new ones and never finishing the old ones. I've got like 50MB of half finished wings files, lol. So last night I sat down for an hour or two and actually finished this one! It's not really a finished picture but I don't have poser or anything so it'll have to stay like this. The sword about 15 000 polygons in all, modeled in wings 3D, materials and rendering done in Vue 4. Hope you like it! P.S. To make it fit in your browser window you can click on the image and drag to the adress bar.

I occassionally use a katana in training, so the handle looks a bit short to me, but I like the look of the blade itself. And I've never quite figured out how to wrap the leather around the hilt. Nicely done.

Yeah, now that I think of it the handle does look a bit short, probably because I didn't use any reference, just kinda made it up as I went along.
