Description
And row on row
Of marble, grass, and concrete,
They silently stood
Through wind and rain
Sun and snow.
Nary a word,
Except the words on their stone.
But listen closely.
Stand still
And you will hear.
"Don't forget me,
Please.
For though I no longer hold my gun
Or wear my uniform
I tried to make this world
A better place to be.
Please,
Don't forget me.
For there may come a time
When it is you who is called
To pick up your weapon
And fight
And when you are called Home,
I will greet you,
As I have greeted all the others
Who fell after me.
Don't forget me,
Please."

Arlington Cemetary or another place? Does not matter.. I never forget those who have fought for what they believe in... s

I was humbled when I visited the first graveyard by myself for American soldiers in the Filipines from WWII. It really put some historical meaning to only reading about war. I think the leaders should duke it out and both lose their leadership

It's good and fitting that the soldiers are together in their ranks. You honor them with this photograph and poem. My dad is one of them, and I thank you.
