Description

Todays pic is the cutest little Native American girl dressed in her native attire. This pic was taken at the Indian Market that was held in Santa Fe, NM, two weeks ago. I'm so honored to photograph these amazing people and to present them to you. I named her Little Deer for two reasons. One, I think the name fits her and two I didn't have any other animal pics to include with her. The deer was shot(photographed) the other day when I took a drive up the near-by mountain. As I was coming back down, this deer jumped out in front of me. I stopped immediately, grabbed my camera and started shooting. This deer ran aways up the hill and stopped like he was posing. Then I noticed another deer that I must have scared. He gathered his courage and ran up the hill. They both still posed. I looked in my rear view mirror and saw another deer crossing the road and run up the hill, followed by three more deer. It was awesome. I was shooting as fast as my little camera would allow. I got a few good ones that I'll post later on if I don't use them in one of my manips. Thanks to all who commented on my young warrior pic. Enjoy Today

It is beginning to dawn on me that not only is your work visually stimulating, but often there is also a deeper good it does. Positive images of other cultures is always a good thing and especially (to Americans) those of American natives. Wrongs can never be made right but goodness can heal. Thanks for the images and the message.

I would love to see those shots on their own! I'm not too keen on the manip here to be honest! While each of the shots seem to be totally awesome, I think it's a shame to manipulate them! Just my 5 pennies worth! ;)

I truly love these manipulations as they not only present the inate beauty of the subjects themselves but also visually imply the spirituality behind or within the subjects as well. Absolutely superb! V

you create an atmosphere, mood, an image as an artist, it is your talent to do so & not follow any purist idea of what should be but a tribute to a people that should never be forsaken...

I agree she is a darling and so beautiful in her clothes. I have never had the opportunity to get a deer in the wild. I ran across a rattle snake in Calif. and I gave him wide berth!also I can across a bobcat and I think he was as startled as I was
