Description

Thanks for your comments on Little Deer. Today I want to show respect for the older Native Americans. In many cultures, including the American Indians, respect was given to the elders, because they were suppose to be the wisest based on their age and experience. Today in America and many modern world countries the elderly are put in homes instead of being respected and admired. As you can see, I used the owl to symbolize the wisdom of this beautiful aging woman. It's sad to see good customs and traditions falling by the way-side as the people of the world become more self centered :( I hope this pic brings home that point. I so admire the spirit of our native friends. I wish that all people of this planet would acquire their spirit and appreciation of mother earth. Enjoy Today

I love this one too, especially the owl and elder. But, I do have to say that I would have liked to see it pulled back a bit. It seems a little too close up for me. Other than that, another fantastic piece. Aloha

I really found myself focusing on the partially obscured turquoise earring. There were many things attributed to various stones also. You know, someone once observed that wisdom is usually the result of prolonged periods of hardship, uncertainty, and fear. I respect those who have attained it, but don't know that I would wish it on myself!!!

What a beautiful tribute! I agree 100% with what you say here and I truly admire your respect that you give to our native americans of all ages and to mother earth. Excellent presentation...I love the subtle purple on Mr. Owl and it was a very wise choice to place with this fantastic profile. I envy you (Whoooo) ...yes You...that you know such people as this woman. She is truly beautiful and you really bring it out here... :-)VOTE for fantastic work and to my favs!
