Description

Hi everyone!Looks like it's back to Scotland, again!Lol! What you are seeing here is the main entrance to Balmoral which has been the Scottish Royal residence since 1852.It was originally a 16th century tower house built by the powerful Gordon family. I have hesitated to upload this shot. It's not the most exciting shot ever, lol! But I think it looks okay framed like this. And the shot actually has a sky in it,miracle of miracles...and that's a very rare thing, believe me! I also like that it has this almost illustrated look to it.I did nothing to this shot except crop it and clone out a big ol' barrel that was sitting in the middle of nowhere! I hope you like it.As always your comments and opinions are soooo appreciated.Thank you for looking!!! Thank you as well for all your thoughtful b-day wishes on my thank you (dedi) pic,"From the Bottom Up",and your sympathies regarding the death of 'Lappy' in,"In Memoriam".LOL,'Lappy' would be so pleased... ;) Have a wonderful rest of the week!!! Hugs,Marlene :)

I love castles, and you really did this one justice. I love the framing with the trees.

Oh yes, now that you've told me - there really is a sky lol. Sorry, had to type that. :-))) Btw.: there's not only sky, there's a lot of depth you've achieved with having that "road" leading the eye into the image and there's a fine compo with having the trees framing the building which is not centered. So to me, this is fine work. One idea: this may be fine from a lower position? Perhaps ...
