My Photo Journal
No more work to do. The Mine is closed and will remain closed. Old Wheelbarrows have no place in the future. Handwork is replaced by heavy machines or by cheap labor overseas. High tech replaces low tech.
Noone cares. Poor Wheelbarrow. Rust in Peace.

Were these used in the mines? I was wondering why they would use a steel wheel. Great contrast, rust in peace indeed.

Nice nostalgic image. Wouldn't wanna excavate anything but a very, very small mine with this one - so I've no problem seeing why it's ended up being discarded in favour of the New and Improved Model:)

Lol. You are right, of course. It was probably used to haul around sh*t from the staples. Unfortunately that would not sound quite as good ;-)

Now that is a wheel that will last, not like todays rubber wheels. I guess we are still in Bodie. I look forward to more images from this place as it beginns to tell a nice story. Have a wonderful week.
