Time is the most destructive force. Nothing lasts forever.
Entropy is the measure of disorder (thermodynamics). As we progress in time, entropy can only increase. This means everything, left to itself, will end in chaos and disorder until everything has fallen into dust.
The Photograph depicts a small slice in time of this scene on its way to dust.
Dedicated to Egmont who encouraged me to tell the story of Bodie.

"Time is the most destructive force." That phrase reminds me of some dialog in Jean Cocteau's Orpheus: The World of Reality vs. Illusion. [1949] ... Cocteau makes a similar point about time when one of the characters asserts that [mirrors are portals] "Death comes in through the mirrors ... for every time you look in a mirror, Death is closer ... "

Thank you for this wonderful dedication my friend. It is certainly something I enjoy and as they say, 'you hit the nail on the head with this one' perfectly. Time and weather equal decay and we as artists record moments for our memories and that of others. Thank you Andre. -egmont

This looks like a rather interesting tale too! It looks like they were in the middle of something and just left everything that way, kind of makes one wonder what happened to the people? Did they just move out? Or maybe they all died from some mysterious plauge? Images like this make my mind go into overtime! :)
