This shot I dedicate to Johannes a.k.a. WonderfulCreation! Belated happy birthday, Johannes! I must admit, I had forgotten your day of birth entirely but sweet people on RR reminded me! I hope you had a wonderful day!
After the night-cap of yesterday I decided to make a little hike to the Stand, a mountain of 2126 m (6975 ft). It's a typical Sunday's stroll, starting from Moosalp it is simple and easy. The German word 'Ort' means 'place' so 'Stand-ort' means 'standing-place', a double meaning here.

All of the trees up here bear their weight well except one which is bent over. Very nice examples of the scraggley pine. If only there was an oak about they could be witnesses.
