Description
This is a model of a real knife that I have. The real one is claimed by my elderly father to be that of a german soldier. This is curious, as although it's definately a ware-era weapon, it has no stamps or markings indicating where it came from. He claims it was made by Solingen (who also made the knives given to the Hitler Youth - I have a post-war Scout version of one of those, too. - Exactly the same knife only the scout version is stainless steel and has a Scout badge instead of a Swastika inlaid in the handle, natch - Hitler Youth and B.P's Scouts were basically the same thing...), although who knows... While I could understand mass-produced knives given to the soldiers not having a Reich Eagle on them, it's kind of strange to me that the manufacturer hasn't even stamped it with their own name.
Anyway, thats the history as far as I know it. Enjoy the model.
