Description

I posted a picture of this poor creature a few days ago. Some of you will notice that this picture was taken later that same evening and that he had, in the meantime, lost a few more pieces. As it happens, I did not contribute to this process. I have no idea what the animals in the bottom right hand corner of the picture are. ;-)) This is the last picture from this restaurant in Guangzhou (P. R. China).

LOL, perhaps it is a good thing that you didn't contribute to the reduction of products here. Either they are some sort of sea creature, or they are the reproductive organs of a very large animal.

Thank goodness I have learned NOT to open your photos when having breakfast or eating. I will not be visiting this restaurant, now, or at any time in the near, or distant future. And, I hate to think what animal has TWO of those.

What is at the bottom right is a sea creature. The name escapes me at the moment, but I can assure you it is not some sexual organ. I see that the alligator is being all cut up, while its tail lays on display for purchase. Most interesting to earn what the Chinese palate is.

Interesting to see what's as ordinary for them as beef and lamb for us. Wouldn't wanna eat any of it though...:)

I'm not sure my stomach could handle seeing the market there! When eating in Asia, my policy was not to ask what I was eating - sometimes it's better not to know :)

The animals in the far RH corner appear to me to be mollusk of some sort.. a clam of some kind perhaps? I dunno.. interesting photo though... I am going to have to check out the earlier one to see what the chopped up animal was...

Amiti, Georges.
