Description

Guangzhou's skyline is nowhere as dramatic as HongKong's but I absolutely want to post one picture. When I first visited this city in 1987, ONE skyscaper had been built. The second was one third completed and a huge hole had been dug for number three. There are many things to criticise in modern China but at least many (most) people are less poor than they were. ;-))

An interesting "valley" between all the skyscrapers! I guess they have to make enough room for all those people :)

The main critic I have for them is "they are now walking on the same path than we walk, doing the same mistakes, falling in the same madness... To have less poverty than before is good for them, I just hope they will not follow us in the same self-destruction!

I actually felt quite depressed looking at this. Your series has been brilliant and given a view on a world seen through your eyes. But this is my idea of hell, living like this.It totally sums up, for me, what is wrong with the planet. An excellent photo.

I would definitely hate to live in a place where I would have to go up on the roof to find a tree! Excellent capture of a reality far removed from my own.
