Description

well i wanted to start getting some feedback and since i won't be finishing textures until tomorrow i figured i'd use today's post to put up a clay...so here it is...its my name sake in case you're wondering...and its about 16000 polys...little high but i guess its a a high detail model so its okay...let me know what you guys think and thanks for lookin'... [note there's one part of the bridge missin'...its was accidently absent in this render so its not that i didn't make it i just didn't render it]

This is a very good likeness. The only thing I'd mention is that the neck looks less finished than the body, but that could be down to lack of texturing.

this is awesome!!! I like B.C. Riches a lot.. (i'm a Gibson Les Paul fan but I used to play Warlock and they are awesome animals)... Super render hope you will work on textures and make something hot -like fire vectors for examp- one more time, excellent job!.. V

beautiful job, loving the edges on the body, they seem perfect to me. i don't have a warlock to compare it to, only acoustics here at the moment, so i can't really say anything 'bout the details. tuning knobs seem small to me, but they could well be that size, dunno. can't wait to see the textures.

Nice start or WOT Kyle..very kool indeed!!!Love the detail on the locking tremelo bridge, wee concern, are the neck's a single piece??? usally most gat's have seperate frett board from the neck(ie: rosewood's), you already have the right thickness, the bit that hang's over the body next to the rythm pick-up,just to seperate it??? just a suggestion, I know you...so we all can expect...Cheer's jif3d

@steerpike...thanks...yeah...the diamods are going to be textures would be a waste of polygons otherwise i think... @miharo...thanks dude...they are wicked animals...i'm working on getting a les paul...its just not easy when you actually NEED other things :-/...and i'm comin' with straight black first then i'm gonna look at UV'ing something exotice on it... @bluliner...thanks man...getting those edges just right was a bit of a trick...but i think they turned out alright...the tuning knobes do look weird in this render...but they are the right size...i think its a perspective thing to be honest... @jeff...thanks...i'm liking it...the floyd rose was a nightmare to model...doubled my poly count on that thing!...yes the fretboard is seperate but its a seemless joint i.e once they've put who knows how many layers of laquer over it you can't feel the joint...so there's no need to model that joint in as it would be better done with texturing later... ...more coming soon! stay tuned!

Sweet axe. I'm looking forward to the finished product. I just got Lightwave 8 and can't wait to get my hands dirty. Seeing images like this really encourages me, though I know this takes a lot of expertise.
