Description

Bryce 5.5 Art & Words: www.sazzart.com Not meaning to get Freudian here; but I used to have this habit of watching CNN during supper, until I found myself wondering why hyper-metabolism aside, I'm loosing weight. Of course, the world's situation; depressing! "Too obvious and too far away from home base." Thought I. Later, after having had email conversations with fellow "crazy artist types" like moi, ;-D, I came to realize that there are, closer to home, this "Graphics Arts World" which is a microcosm of the real world. Also, like the real wold it is filled with individuality; which is as it should be & is a wonderful thing to behold, especially here on Renderosity. Having said that; and following my former profession's code of ethics, I'm not going to use value based labels; but to be a resident of the graphics worlds, and being competitive is one thing, competition fosters growth, ala the Darwinian Theory. However; to be competitive, allowing oneself to be governed by an "anything goes attitude" that includes OCB, and a few other less than ideal acts, is crossing the line of basic decent human behavior. Which, theoretically, is all that separates us from the lower Animal Kingdom. I sincerely hope those viewing, reading this, think about my thoughts herein, especially the next time they look, see something or somebody with a negative impulse stirring inside. I may be Juden; but I also believe the expression, "The wages of Sin Is Death" does not always mean in the physical sense. Thanks for THINKING & VIEWING. Have a nice weekend. SEMPER FI SAZ DFF8 - HOOAH!

Yes - Yes - Yes on your feelings.... The world is polarized yet connected and this design shows that quite well.

First impact on this VERY well modelled shape and mat using, is irresistibly Freudian indeed, and says a lot about what you try to convey in your words. I wouldn't compare certain human attitudes with the animal reign, as it can be predictable if we understand its rules. Human behavior is not. Many of the decisions some people take about how to walk through their lives, will always puzzle and many times bury us in disbelief...at least for the ones who struggle each day to be better persons and sublimate our low passions into much more positive actions. Like you well said, the Graphic Arts World is a microcosm of the real one. This particularly amazes me, as arts are one of the most sublime expressions of humanity, so why not a few throw so much dirt over it?. Yes I know, shouldn't be called artists at all!!

A wonderfully imaginative image! When I first saw the thumbnail and the title, my dark humor got the better of me, and I laughed. My thoughts were, 'yes we are and that is what this beautiful planet will look like before the government and lawmakers finally realize that fact.' In my personal experience with a few wonderful exceptions, man seems to be the animal in this context. Animals will never deliberately hurt you. If you invade their territory, or their pack, or endanger their young, or if you are part of the food chain to them, well, we know the results. That is their 'animal instinct' kicking in. Mankind has no such reason, much less an 'excuse'. The human race, for the most part in my opinion, is a parasite living off, while destroying this still beautiful but quickly dying world. Once again your art speaks, and I am listening. Leanndra

Isn't the "wages of sin" a quote of love? 'Give me your love for an hour, for a day, for a week. If the wages of sin is death, then I will gladly pay.' Considering the context though it could be thought of as politicians after power or money and the world winds up paying the cost instead of the true sinner. I don't need to be thinking this deeply this early in the morning, but this is a thought provoking image!
