Once again, a photo from St. Augustine beach. A lone surfer makes his way out to the waves, man immersing himself in nature. Florida doesn't normally get very large waves (except during heavy storms) but most hard core surfers will take what they can get and the swells were up to 5 feet that day. Even quiet St. Augustine with it's fairly calm beach has a surf culture. sigh...Glorious capture! just woke up and having my coffee. Guess whose gallery i went to first, Kort? :) When i'm on vacation and i'm at the ocean, i always wake up before dawn. can't wait to get out of bed to see the sun rise. go outside on the balcony, have my coffee, and sit in the dark, listening to the sea. by the time the sun is coming up, i'm on the beach walking, taking pics. well, i remembered you were doing this series this morning, and had to come here! I love the sparkes on the water, and again, i would have taken this the same, keeping the surfer in silhoutte!! so beautiful, peaceful, and another top-not shot!!!! Seeing your two images this morning has made having to get up and go to work feel not quite so bad! :)
