Nice but don't you have to many stars on the flag if this is of ships from the pass.

I think that's the right amount of stars for the time period, not sure though. Still an awesome image, very tense and dramatic.

Thanks for your comment. Actually, this union ship's ensign had 35 stars (5 rows of 7).

It's like a snapshot of history. You can smell the tension that must have been in the air. Fantastic modeling work! :D

I bet there are people in the USA who'd go ape for this kinda picture. Historical societies and such. KUTGW.

Awesome image, it still amazes me what can be done with Bryce. One question : is the orientation of the flags correct? They are not the same on the two vessels?

faveral

Both vessels are creating their own wind, so the flags on both ships go against the direction of motion.

You have mastered the modeling, you have mastered the smoke, you have mastered the boat wakes, you have mastered the historical accuracy, you have mastered the drama of the scene.... do you get the idea I really, really like this.

Brilliant image. Right up my street. Bryce is tops for this sort of thing. Love the lighting and smoke. Like two hippo's charging each other. This conception of naval arrogance really works.

Everything is impressive in this picture, the water, the lighting, the atmosphere and models. An excellent piece of photorealism.
