Description
Taken from the top of Uluru, overlooking the Kata Tjuta (The Olgas). 1 1/2 hour hike with my camera gear, the climb was very tough and steep.
Uluru: worlds largest monolith, 348m above the surrounding plains and 867m above sea level, 8km circumfrence and thought to be 600 million years old.
Olgas: Tallest dome is 546m above the surrounding plains. Cover 30 square km.
This was taken in the late afternoon, tobacoo filter.

Out of this world! Really it almost seems like one of your famous terrain renders, though I know it is not. A stunning photo with a vista I could stare at for hours. I did not know you could see Kata Tjuta from the top of Uluru...thanks for the edification! =]
