Description

When I was a kid, I saw the Firefall at Yosemite. I'd forgotten all about that until I saw a tv program about it. For nearly 90 years, every night at 9 pm they would shove burning embers off a cliff in a long steady flow and it would make a glowing waterfall, without the water. This is my attempt to capture the Firefall. I saw it in the late 50s and ten years later they discontinued it because the traffic and hassles it caused were too much for the park. yet another cool tradition faded away. 2D trees by oldworld

I too remember the "Firefall". Something only few have seen. Your rendering is fantastic, how did you do the actual firefall?
