This caught my eye - warm blacks in background? That's how it looks on my monitor, and I like that with the great looking texture of the old pine. Well done.

Monochrome is great for distancing reality,for simplifying images, and this is a beautiful example. The angled "crack across the main trunk also helps the composition. I like. Cliff.

Amazing! Here the tree shows like it is left with nothing, but 'No', it still has a purpose. I provides yet the pegs of it's amputated limbs for bird to rest before continuing their journey. Well, it is fanciful, but I like to think of your photo a showing no ending. Excellent Ian!
