Period Dress by TwoPynts

In St. Augustine it is not unusual to see tourists and people in 17th to 18th century garb walking around together. There are many people that dress up in period authentic clothing for dramatizations, or just for effect. I believe this young lady was working for the tourism industry in some fashion, perhaps to promote guided historic bus tours, or perhaps for the ghost tours which the city is famous for. You don't get to be the oldest European spawned U.S. city without picking up a few ghosts along the way. ;o] Anyway, this young lady was probably a student at Flagler college, working part time to help with school expenses. I was drawn to the graceful lacework of her lovely outfit, and of course, her bright smile. ----- St. Augustine: Partial History of the USA's Oldest City, Part 2 Today, the heart of St. Augustine retains the distinctive plan of a 16th century Spanish Colonial walled town, much of which has been preserved or restored. The numerous remaining colonial buildings in the historic district present an impressive array of architecture from 1703 to 1898. Some of the most noted buildings in the district are located on the Plaza de la Constituci

Wow, she sure has a bright smile. Youre correct there Sir. She looks like shes taken straigh out of "Little house on the praires"...was that what it was called? Yes..i know i probably misspelled it too..sigh. Nevertheless, your shot is most beautiful. Well spotted Kort! Have a great one. #:O)

Nice pose and lighting! I'm not too fond of the business cards on the table; they create an anachronism. Overall,a very competent peice. As far as St. Augustine being the oldest U.S. city,I have some Native American friends here in Arizona who would argue the point! :)

she's lovely! maybe too fresh looking for real authenticity but beautiful none the less.. i like the old styling of it & added soft vignette.. too bad that darn table was there as she looks beautiful against the curtain.. almost tempting to crop just below the sleeves to maintain the laciness but then one would miss out on the skirting... :]

Now I know how to boost my viewings! :) That bright smile is mesmerizing! Fantastic work, did you add some writing, I don't see it staring to this beautiful lady! ;) Excellent work, I would almost skip the important historical buildings etc. :)

blue eyed blondes were absolutely part of 16C Spanish colonies - especially with the help of orthodontists and hair colourists - lovely lady, nonetheless - perhaps not 100% authentic?
