Description

The clouds are bright and I have to chose, overexpose the clouds or underexpose the landscape; I choose the first option but I realise I had better shot this one twice, once overexposed and once underexposed and combine them in Photoshop. In front of this landscape you see the pink rosebay willowherb (Epilobium angustifolium) that was also shot in the garden in More garden joy. Enjoy your Sunday! Minolta X-700 (Fuji Sensia 100, 35 mm and cropped) Thanks for your attention and your always valuable comments

white strong light from the cloudy sky, usual in the Alps - it's a beautiful view and foto!

Not often going to the clouds I would have said what a lovely spray of lupines that makes a base of color for the scene. The crispness of the village edge and the flatness of the cloud bottoms prepares a stark open jaw.

OMG, this is INCREDIBLY beautiful, Jan-Carel!!! Those flowers in the foreground are amazing!!! i can imagine what a difficult shot this must have been and see why you shot it twice. on my monitor though the clouds still look overexposed but it's still a gorgeous image...one that i'm really enjoying looking at! You composed this just right, and i love how you caught the grasses and flowers blowing in the wind!!! excellent work!

Well, you can't go wrong with a foreground like this! The pinks and greens are beautiful, and the clouds leave me wondering what is below them - so the shot works nicely!
