Today is a very sad day for us here in Guatemala :( there has been a disaster similar to Katrina in some places... :(
I have a girl working in my house, she takes care of my kids and she received a call last night... her brother told her they lost everything because the water level of the river that passed behind their house went up and took everything with it :( one of her sisters had a 2 weeks old baby and he was taken too :( now roads are closed and she can't even get there to see how her 2 and 4 years old daughters are... it is desperating and I am living this through her :( it feels terrible.

I learned about sending used clothes and stuff to Guatemala and it would cost a fortune because even if it is to help this people they have to charge taxes and those are very high :( the only way of avoiding taxes would be sending it through the Guatemalan embassy. I deeply thank the people that were willing to help us help these people but we won't be able to do it this way... we will buy some clothes and ask some friends here in Guatemala to help us and we will hopefully have something to take them. Those are EXTREMELY poor families that worked for generations all their lifes to have what they had and now everything's gone :(

Wonderful image for a so beautiful thoughts, again a sad tragedy!!! All my old clothing is given each year to this period with a French association for homeless, but if I still have some, I contact you... Not a promise but maybe.... For your image is simply wonderful, I love her dress and sad expression!!! Excellent POV too, well EXCELLENT WORK!!!

Oh, Ale. This is so heartbreaking, honey. I knew that the hurricane hot Mexcio, but I didn't realize that it had caused so much damage. :( I am sorry for your girl. Please send her my best wishes and tell her to be strong for her family. I wish we could do more for your people. Hugs, honey.
