Description
Dark fantastic, linger on, into the night where gnomes have reigned supreme. The invisible putty of universal light has grown beyond our control and we cannot see the blackness against the black of our own despair. Take me on, into the next world, and give me all the answers. I grow weary of the seeking. Give me riches of intellect and I shall give rule of Earth to those who need it. Take me home to the afterlife and give me all that I have asked for. Sure I may never get in life what I deserve in death, but dark fantastic gives me all I ever hoped for. Nothingness prevails in places where stuff once was and the cold breeze of the dark is as close as we may get with light in the way. Take me home again to where the dead cry, and where my technology is useless. Cry on sweet dead ones, cry on, and let me know when my time has come. What lies beyond the gates of death is only for those to say who understand that life is not like death. That and that alone is why we shall never know, because we will never be told. The light is warm and the dark is cold and that is all we can say for now. The breeze envelopes my spirit and carries my heart away. Dark fantastic, who is it that you answer to? Linger own, my bittersweet friend, linger on.

Ah, back to my old metaphorical self. This one I wrote yesterday but was having serious computer issues (took me half an hour to load the upload page). The metaphors are distant in this one so if you have troubles with it pm me and I will tell you what Dark Fantastic means. Feel free to make guesses though, I love hearing different perspectives on my own works.

Ok, the first time I read it, it was fast and easy, a smooth read, as also entertaining and sweet on the tongue. Felt comfortable like broken in shoes that ware well. The second time I read it I looked for the metaphor of Dark Fantastic and came to a guess from this perspective of it being Your computer That is what I thought and I am sticking to it. Well written work! As for figuring out what it means to me, compared to what it means to you, I have to pass, as I cannot even figure out what much of anything is, on my own, for me. WINK.

Five years later, I look back, and I have to be honest . . . I have no idea what Dark Fantastic was. It wasn't death, but something related, can't remember. I should have included the answer key!
