Description

Just for fun...the lighting was midday and very contrasty...not a good thing...but my granddaughter was cute, running all over the beach and writing her name in the sand.

I saw this image an hour ago and I am surprised there are not many comments here that I expected.. very sad... but let me tell you.... this is a wonderful picture... composition wise and technical wise too. This image could well be used for Education for the Child.... I remember there was a photo/visual art challenge on this topic by UNICEF (I Hope I got that right).. a couple years back. This one would have made a great entry. Bravo!!..:O)) and Cheers to Sydney from me.:O))

It's a wonderful photo - but tell me the truth, her name isn't "Sydney" is it? She's on the beach of an unknown island - after her flight from SYDNEY went down somewhere in the pacific. She's dreaming of getting back to Australia, and she wishes she had never boarded Oceanic Air flight 815 - isn't that right? Oh, or maybe I watch too much LOST. Sorry. It really is a charming picture. Love the contrast. And Your gDaughter is wonderfully cute. (please forgive my little digression). Great shot!!!

Even if the light is hard, it's an excellent shot and Sydney a very cute little girl. I agree with Snakey.... and I'm surprised that there isn't more comments and viewing for this shot. So lovely Joanna ! Hugs.

This is a classic! It couldn't be more perfect in my mind. Contrast would not improve it from an artistic standpoint. It has so much of what childhood is and the special moments at the beach. Wow! Excellent art! V
