Description
Rodney is a rotten bastard.
His heart races as he watches his young daughter squirm in pain on the floor in front of him. He takes a long drag from his cigarette. "Stop crying," he taunts through gritted teeth. "I said stop crying!" He raises his hand to hit her, but stops short. He tilts his head to one side, as though straining to hear some distant sound.
A strange, hauntingly beautiful music drifts into the room. Rodney looks accusingly at Kaylee for a few moments, then turns toward the apartment's front doors: the apparent source of the unearthly, disconnected sound. His jaw drops as he finds the doors framed in a brilliant white light leaking in from the hallway outside. "What the hell?"
The music stops.
Something pounds heavily upon the door.
Rodney takes a cautious step forward. He reaches out slowly for the door knob, then recoils as another heavy blow rattles the door on its hinges. He looks toward his daughter, wanting to demand an explanation, desperate to punish her for the fear that's rapidly overwhelming him. To his shock, he finds Kaylee on her feet, grinning, staring at the door with huge, excited eyes.
BOOM! The door explodes inward.
Rodney stumbles backward, shrieking with fear. He falls. He sits propped against the kitchen wall, unable to tear his eyes from the figure standing right there in his front doorway. There, silhouetted against the dazzling white light that fills the hall, is an angel.
Rodney whimpers pathetically. "Please! Please don't hurt me!" he cries.
With a furious growl and a mighty thrust of her wings, Ambin lunges at him.

Thank you so much to everybody who commented on my last image. I wish every child had an "angel" to look after them.

Very good expression, Ambin looks furious indeed! Wonderful choice of outfit, great pose, a very convincing avenging angel. The image might have been even better with a glowing effect behind her (I use point lights with large lens flares for that kind of effect). And marvelous writing. I'm so glad to see Kaylee saved, and to see her father get his just reward. Excellent work!

Wonderful writing as always, and of course somthing I've always envied! ;) Now, back to having Ambin sending Rodney to where he will never injure or torment another child again! Bravo!

Gosh, how many people are praying for such an angel day by day! The Matrix suit comined with those faerie wings looks quite strange... but this may simply depend on the fact that I had no contact with Ambin until now. - As always, quite intense and gripping!
