it is no fun using a chain saw standing up on flat ground. I can imagine the strain on his back laying down. keep them coming Jock!!

I have pics similar to that from Hurricanes Frances and Jeanne. My back yard was all tree branches from big oak trees. Fortunately they didn't hit the house. This brings back those memories of cleanup, no power for weeks and blue tarped roofs..Hope you made out ok JOCKO..

So glad to see the rebuilding and cleanup has started so everyone can try to get back to their lives again. It has been quite a year for horrific weather! Thanks for sharing Jocko. :-)

A lot of animals lost their homes too. Feel sorry for all living beings.

It will take a long time for the horrid memories to go away especially for the young ones. Excellent shots. Aloha

This home just does not look up to living in a wind tunnel. Folks are really trusting building their houses of cheap readily available materials that are not flame proof and assembled in a commonsense style that indulges a sense of home. The old management saw about "draining the swamp" no longer rings true. Maybe the bullrushes should be left alone so more Moseses can be hidden there to be found by pharoah's daughters.

Lucky your houses are made of wood and faster and easier to repair. But I think if they were made out of bricks then they wouldn't have such bad damage done to them? ... Isn't it ironical how the biggest super power of the world also has the most natural disasters?
