Yes that me and I won second place in this art contest. just got a ribbon that all. But it was hard. I put in three images and this one place 2rd place. Someone else took the photo lol forgot his name. sorry. If he see this pleace put your name down.
Now the othere two did not place and I thought they would. But the judge told me why they did not place. They very good ideals but it have to do with the light and dark pattens.In "main Gear broken" The blue is too bright and the white have no balance with dark no real pattern to the image. A real good ideal but it needs work.

He say it pops out and need something to pop out on the other side to balance it.

Thanks every one for helping me. I blame no one for most of us did not even had art lessions to see things like this. The judge say to look at Rembrance[lol hope I spelled his name right] work you will see the lighting on the figures do not work if you put a read light on things like what he painted but he was not going for that he was going for the light and dark patterns even in his drawings. I learn a lot from him but I learn a lot here too. Most did not tell me what wrong . most is like me ; just do not know or think I be mad or know one day I see it myself and wonder why I so dumb not to have seen this.[ which is the case most the time]
I do not see things wrong with images because I do not know and if I do see things I might tell him in a IM or let it go thinking he will see it himself one day[this is if he grows in art] I need to sit down and read a art book one day lol.
But I do wish to think every one for the surport you all give me in the 2 years I been here.

what some judge says or does not say does not always mean the art is not of good quality. Try to learn but be happy with what you do and put your heart into it and feel happy that you done your best. congratualation on second place Jock. you deserve it!!

It is an intriguing look into your style. Look at some of Rembrandt's sketches and see how what was a bit messy held the final blossum. This one has bloomed.
