Description

This started out three weeks ago with me finally coming out of my slump inspired to try Hythshade's tutorial on light rays and forest. Well, I got one of my perfectionist streaks going and have worked and worked at this, putting in tree models and grass models and the fawn! Of course, now it's posted I'm looking at it with an even more critical eye and wishing I'd not left that tree in the center of the image etc etc. But I'm not going back now. I'll just remember to pay more attention next time ;) Credits: Hythshade's atmospheric settings though I tampered once I got going. Silverkey fawn. Trees - Meski, Dreampaint and me. Grass - Meski, MarioG (with tip from Ascript) Twistedbolt. Rock texture - Solemnchaos.

I can certainly see this was time consuming but the water's edge... those reflections, that's my favorite part of all. This is a special piece of work. That tree doesn't bother me but I can see where you may have preferred it off center. Nope... I'm am lovin' this work. This is excellent.

Looks very impressive, very good rays especially for a Bryce software....only thing is add better texture on the tree to the left.

Nice lighting, foliage, earth and water! I think there is a crease in the fawn's right forelimb though.

Ok, some one who actually agreed with one of my posts on the forum? Well, I just gotta check out their work. :^) And I'm certainly glad I did! This is a gorgeous scene! I like everything about it. Being a nature freak, the woodland setting just pulls me right in, but that wonderful lighting and the way you made forest are splendid! (I like the tree in the middle.) And then the fawn is the perfect icing for this delicious cake. Superb! (and know how you feel about never getting everything exactly perfect. lots of times I just have to turn my back and move on. lol!)
