Description

Her spirit travels on the wind, Roaring, or gentle, A chill not quite felt But known deep within The cracking bones and joints Of early winter. You feel her presence undefined, As she fills the air And earth around you, Startling you, turning and twisting Your soul and being. Those who encounter her spirit And survive Are always of good faith. From "The Book of the Red Witch", 1790 This book currently exists only in fragments, but is generally thought to have been written in central Pennsylvania. I have modernized the spelling as it becomes confusing looking at the f/s and u/v spellings of the period.

I love the touch of red in the hanging object! It's subtle enough not to glare, but it really makes the image! Excellent :)

One of the misteries of old books, how they told tales of witches, and rhymes, and were used to scare the children, such was were the times, you manage to capture the aura of these elemesnts, and the fotos are wonderful, the touch of a glowin red like a beatin heart makes this special, you can almost feel it lives, wonderful work Jack, it fills the mind. This is a fascinating quote from what sounds like a wonderful story! For some reason, this makes me look for things that are hiding in there. More of a feeling than anything, I think.

It is certainly very clever to change a B&W photograph into an image with extraordinary textures. The plants with their different leaf shapes look great as ,indeed, does the suspended orb with it's wonderful grey /crimson colouring !
