Description

Trapped between sand and sun Against the horizon blue Little legs running along The edge of what to do The full moon rises up As a blanket of stars come down Little hands wave left and right Creating ghosts along the ground Panting nearly out of breath Reaching the end of blue Raising the head turning round On the edge of what to do A deep sigh now looking up With eyes that cannot say Where to journey on Yet heading the other way The waves move the moon's light All the way to the shore Lets off a few glimmerings No need to ride no more Then out again the waves go To catch some more light A game to play endlessly Until the end of night Then once again on the other end Trapped between sand and sun Little legs went running When morning had begun Waving hands left and right As the horizon became new Just a beam of light a bit confused Along the edge of what to do

I absolutely love this. What great images it conjures up and I especially like "the edge of what to do". The poem has a lovely rythmn.
