Description

Ok awhile back I had said I was working on a project but I couldn't say anything about it. Well this was it:) I was commissioned by Nightwish to do the band portrait for the booklet centerfold of the new Highest Hopes CD and DVD pack :) Needless to say I was thrilled and still cant get over it. I do have the individual images and work in progress if you are interested in seeing them. I am now working on another commission project for another band. I will post it as soon as I am allowed to:) Painted in Photoshop with a Wacom tablet. *Please note that this image is property of Nightwish and Nuclear Blast Records.

Wow, how did you get the gig? Was it from someone seeing your work on this site? Very good. I hope and pray that others are blessed with some high paying gigs and can spread their work to the masses :)

Woow; excellent painting!! It seems that a whole country has stopped and waiting for bands next movement - or new singer? Lets hope we all will hear this awesome and inspiring music again!! Nevertheless; Congratulations for wonderful image:)

Excellent image. Your painting is awesome. The characters are well done with good expressions. Their hairs are astounding. Great composition and lighting. I didn't know who they were but seeing this image, I'm quite compelled to buy the CD! 8-) Vote.

Hi Gina well, if any one should do an illustration for one of my favorite bands than YOU, and you DID!!!!!! Jumps around his chair and does the happy rain dance for you, Im soooo happy for you. And you really did an outstanding job, I bet the Nightwish guys were more than amazed as they saw the piece. Oh and as I own most of their albums, be sure I will buy this one too (how is it called, when will it be released??). I only meet them one time personally as they were on tour with some friend of me, the band of my friends was called Valleys Eve (think the Band still exists, but not with the original members, they did some great music those days), maybe Nightwish remember them, was some years back as Nightwish was not that famous as they are now. However you really did an outstanding job for them, Im pretty nosy with what you come up next. Gina, YOUR talent will take you really far Greetings to your hubby and all the very best for both of you.
