Winfract 18.2 - Paintshop Pro 4
Thought I'd get back into showing some of my very first fractals again. Especially since I FINALLY remembered my password for this gallery - lol. This one's from WAY back in 1996 and made with the great grand-daddy of free-ware fractal generators, Winfract - the "easy" version of FractInt. At that time I seemed to be the only one who made symmetrical fractals. Suppose I always had the need to enforce some kind of "order" on the chaos of fractals. Control freak! lol Anyhow I figured I'd post some in light of all the symmetry that is seen these days in fractal images and maybe I won't get shot.
Back then, I thought I was REAL slick (puleeeeeze!) because I would zoom parts of a fractal, whip out my handy-dandy free share-ware copy of PSP FOUR(!) and mirror-copy-paste-flip-copy-paste my own manual 4x kaleido-fractals. After a while I read some message list stuff about "fractal purity" discussed by the "old masters" who I thought were all professors and mathematicians and WAY above a tech like me and so ran away and never talked to anyone or posted out of fear of being lynched - really!
So here's one of my first fractal "heresies" - Not a very fancy title - I just named them after the formula and function used. Don't shoot me, I'm only the guitar player - lol.
Rick :-?)
