Description

This was commercial work. I think it's really icky, kitschy and terribly girly, but it was a lot of fun modelling it from the real master object. That means I don't have to like the results, do I? Perhaps you like it. And don't tell me it's not my usual kind of work. I know that perfectly well. ;P

Wow, it is pretty girly... but it's well done nonetheless. Was this rendered in C4D or are those reflections postworked?

No postwork. Everything rendered like you see it. Would not have been practicable with postwork since I modelled it to be used in an animated commercial clip. To tune the highlights and flares was a bit difficult since they either tended not to be visble at all, or they literally devoured everything in superwhite. But in the end it worked out quite nice and it even looks decent in animation. Very twinkling and glittering, though. g I really learned a lot about how Cinema handles flares and highlights with this thing. Oh just to mention: The physical master object looks almost absolutely identical to the rendered image. The only difference is an ugly piece of pink net lace that was on it. I left that out and rearranged the three stars acordingly for this render, because it obscured much of the details and it was the part I hated most about the thing. The net lace is of course in the version that I did for the commercial, but for this version here I favored esthetics (as far as that goes with this) over completely exact replication. I think everyone understands that. :-)

Weapons, Lightsabers, Violence, Hot chicks, Stardestroyers and a hair decoration for children. Nice collection. ;-P But surely this must have been a hell lot of work. Well done!

Oh by the dark side of the force... this thing is even more evil than I thought when you told me about it. But okay, really barbie-ish and girly. So I guess It's good ;). Nicely done.

A true artist makes everything out of anything! That is a nice piece of work, though it is different from the others.

It certainly does add variety to an already impressive gallery. Thanks for sharing some real-life work images... unless of course you really do some pre-viz of light sabers for both Sith and Jedi. :o) Nicely done.

I am really not allowed to talk about my darkside customers, but I will ask the jedi for permission. Until then glittery girl stuff with lots of pink is enough on the dark side of the force for my taste. But I'm sure Pink 5 would love it. ^_^
