Description

Do you remember... ...when you were afraid to go into the basement? When you had to go down there, you heard stranges noises and were afraid of the shadows? As Halloween approaches, I am always a little bit nervous down in my 100 year old basement. I try to avoid it if at all possible, but tonight... I heard a sound and I was home all alone. I took a flashlight as the lighting is poor down there and went down the creaky, old wooden stairs. There is that sound again! It almost sounds like a baby crying somewhere off in a dark corner. Shivering, I walked through the basement and then I saw something!! A dark silhouette against the basement window! The light from the yard next door was behind something that was crouching there right outside the dusty old pane of glass! I couldn't make out what it was but I ran back up the stairs and grabbed my camera. hehe When the flash went off....there it was! Still partly in silhouette, I found what was making that eerie, crying sound!! And it was looking right at me with glowing eyes!! EEEEKS!!! Oh whew...it's just my silly cat, Bill! lol Happy Halloween to you all and beware of those basement windows!! ;-) (((Hugs))) and I hope you get lots of treats and not tricked like my cat tricked me! :-)

You were afraid to go down the basement. I was afraid, as a child, t go upstairs alone!! hehe! I dont know whether I should be afraid of that cat or be afraid of that lil ghost at the corner! Happy Halloween to you! May you get more opportunities to explore your basement and come out with more spooky pictures!

Too bad the pic was before the words. You had me going there. Now I think what would have happened to you if it was not a cat and something really freaky. Happy Halloween.

LOL awww maggie! He's beautiful!! And you know that black cats are not bad luck in fact they are good luck!! The story simplified is..When I was living on my own at an apartment came home one night saw 3 black cats sitting on my porch, I left again I knew something was wrong.. Came back an hour later they were gone and I went in. Found out the next day that someone was shooting of bb's in the alley just about that time, I looked in my kitchen window and it was broken. You see, I usually would go to kitchen immediately get something to drink and I would have been in front of that window. I could have been shot.. But the black cats knew something was up and were warning that if I went in there would be bad luck. You know I still have black cats to this day. :) Hugs great scarey halloween pic!

Lol ;o((((( I agree with Doug !!!!! Your words are great and terrible ;o(((((((( but we have seen the Dark Cat before !!! You make me laught, terrible story !!!! That 's what I like in the old houses, everyone has something strange, the memory of the wall of the lifes. I've never seen a ghost, but I sometimes feel very strange sensations and vibrations in some of them, and when I've ask to the personn who know the story of the house... in these someone was suicided or dieing in a very dramatical way.... really ! Brrrrrrrrrrrrrr !!!! I don't like this feeling !!! But for Halloween day, it's the good vibration ;o)))) You've made a very funny and good work on this shot Maggie, and with a very lovely presentation too !!!! Happy Halloween !!!! V
