Description

Ivor was sure this was his golden ticket to ride. He was sure all he had to do was go down to the hellish, smelly surface world and snatch a ripe plum for the prince, and he waould be set for life. Surely a man-of-action like him couldn't fail! He turned and faced his Scavs. He addressed them, "The girl must NOT be harmed! Remeber this! We must not fail! You collectors remember this! Lethal force is NOT authorized for this criminal!" One of the Collector robots asked, "Why? All criminals that resist arrest, must be made an example of. It is the law. Unless there is evidence of mental illness that causes them to be incapable of rational descions." "Of couse she's quite mad! I mean...we must apprehend her and return her here for 'treatment'!" Under his voice, Ivor muttered, "Damned robots! Scav are more reasonable, at least." Across the huge hangar came a shout, "IVOR! You BASTARD!" He glanced over and barely hid his satisfaction at seeing Controller 13 and a Scav-telepath come running over. Ivor finished up, "Now mount your APC's and let's bring back that girl!" Dokka was out of breath when he ran up to Ivor and gasped, "You have to stop! You can't go!" Ivor sniffed in a superior way, "Nonsense! We have the blessing of Prince Salva! I see you found my errant Telepath. Good." Dokka gasped out, "They are in Panchetta's lost laboratory! You wreck it--and there'll be hell to pay! I don't think you make THAT much!" Ivor paled and sweated. He harumphed, "No matter! I can handle it! They have to come out some time. We'll just not go into the lab itself. This prize is mine! You'll not take it from me!" He strode away and started up the ramp to the big lander. "Come on ,Telepath! Don't dwaddle! You creatures are given to much latitude!" 'Water'-Melon, the telepath, looked helplessly at Dokka. Dokka frowned, and whispered, "Take care, Water. I have a bad feeling about this. There is no honor in dying for fools." 'Water' nodded and followed Controller 09 up the ramp. The Lander lifted up silently and manuvered out of Hangar 21 and into the sky over Taru City with a sceaming hiss. Off in the distance he spotted flying city 32, the bloody, and past that, he spotted something else. Another flying city. Things were happening fast, now. He glanced over at the bightly painted,"Welcome to Nova Paradisio! Be happy here!" He had forgotten that city 64 even had a name. Everyone here had never known the last part. Noone was happy here. Espcially not him. Media is Vue 5 Easel and Poser 6 and a butt-load of postwork! This was beyond my machine's ability to render in one shot, so I did mini-renders and had to put the damned thing together. Yeesh! I need 4 gig of RAM and a Pentium4 at 3.6 GHz to render this puppy in one shot. If wishes were fishes, I'd be crushed under carp!
