Both shots are perfect. The color one is warm with great color contrast of dark roks, the black and white is cold and wintery mood. Good choise to post both of photos.

I guess I have to say the colour version as I hate dull grey days when everything looks so sad. Thanks for cheering me up with the colour version, it's a very beautiful image!!!

Happy Halloween my friend! Well, both versions kick butt and you definitely pushed the b&w to the utmost. But comparing the two, I have to say my fave is the color. Lucious and tasty, like a bag of Hallowe'en candy!

Wonderful shot!! They both have their advantages. I probably have a preference for the B&W version. But they are both superb. Incidentally, I was amused by your searching for the word describing the room above your bedroom (the one with the wasp nest in it)--the word is attic. Your posts (and comments to other posts) are really wonderful and a lot of fun!

What a wonderful Halloween trick or treat trick...making us pick between two exceptional versions. Being as it's Halloween I'll have to go with the B/W.

I think which one to post must rest with the artist and the desire/vison of that person. Each of the above is a different abstraction of what i'd guess was a great moment and place.
