Alright, I am going to add my two cents and it may surprise you Andreas. Now I do not always agree with what you upload, but I think this time you have a masterpiece. So which version do I like? Though I do like the colour version, I feel the B&W one should have been a duo-toned by adding a second layer of a rich warm brown. This would have nailed it. Still, I honestly feel this is one of your better images.

In this case I prefer the color version. The cwarmth of the grasses contrasting with the cool blues of the water add far more interest to the image than the BW. The subtle greens on the rocks adds yet more to the image. I vote for the color here.

Hi Andreas, I was just checking out all the stuff you posted that I missed and it is all so breathtaking, and I enjoyed the view! I especially liked the frozen flower, very pretty, and superb lighting! I have to go out and put some insulation around choppers house, and will be back in a few hours to check out every ones stuff! I know I have been lagging, it will all change when it snows and I get stuck inside more! I love the colored one, because of the golden colors in the foliage, but they are both awesome, and I wish my falls turned out that well! 8-)

I guess depending on the vegetation that surrounds the stream, the color of the rocks or the reflection of the water that determines your choice. In your image, both would work. But I favor the color image more. Got Milk? Excellent capture in both cases. Aloha

The colors attract the attention away from the essence of the photo so i prefer the black and white one. A beauty.

I def prefer the colour shot, looks like sink draped over frozen water, the B&W doesn't "pop" ... Well done Z, I haven't done any of these successfully I think it's due to the fact that my cam only goes to F8... Portrait would've been cool too!

beauty FULL, both two! (in the b&w maybe I would correct the levels of the dark areas to have the dark rocks a little lighter, with more details - but is a minor problem =)

a breathtaking beautiful shot! in both versions! cannot say which one is better, both with its own statement! the b/w one stronger and absolute, the colored one more specific visitor emotions! ;o)

A striking scene and waterfall. I prefer the colour version. If it had been all green, I would have had more dificulty in choosing. The yellow coloured bushes made me vote for coloured one. There is definitely more life in it. In both the cases the angel-hair waterfalls is so well done! Excellent shutter speed! Super pictures!
