Description

"Reality leaves a lot to the imagination." --John Lennon

Again, I give you a photo with very little postwork. I will let you read into it what you will. There are two photos here actually, at a ratio of about 10% for one and 90% for the other. As some of you may have noticed, I've been away from the galleries for about 8 days. Last week, Hurricane Wilma passed right over my area and left millions floundering without electricity. My house made it through with just minor damage, though my garden needs some serious attention. I decided to "get out of Dodge" as it were and brought my family to my in-law's house about 130 miles away. The journey there was somewhat surreal, as if an army of giants had wandered across the area, snapping trees, flattening crops, ripping off roofs, toppling power lines and generally causing as much mayhem as possible. As a result of the hurricane, I did not get to take the Halloween photos that I had planned, so the ones I posted earlier in the month will have to suffice. Have a Happy Halloween (if you celebrate it) and my sincere appreciation goes out to those of you who inquired about my welfare after the storm came through. The goes double for Joe (L8RDAZE) who somehow managed to track down my work # and got a call to me through someone from my office. Thanks everyone! ----- And thanks for stopping by and for your stellar comments on my last photo, They Met At The Spaceport.

I'm so sorry for the damage you had Kort. I don't know that you live in this area. This hurricane is a terrible thing for so many persons. My thoughts are with all of them and with you, sincerly. I prefer loocking to this beautiful shot and so many colors than a Creepy image of Halloween ;o))))) Have an excellent evening Kort, and take care. Hugs V

A glass object? And Sun artwork? Whatever it turns out to be, it is a treat to the eyes! Wonderful colors and textures! And a brilliant abstraction!! Most excellent Kort-san!!

Good to see you back - I see the smaller 10% and the 90% though what the 90% is I have no idea. Still whatever it is it makes for a stunning colourful image - superbly done :)

Glad to see that you and the family have made it through Hurricane Wilma. Even though I did not write, I was thinking of you and so was Ian, as we talked on the phone last two weekends discussing your absence. As for the Halloween pictures, best made plans can resurface another time to bring pleasure. Now I uess it is more important to focus on the garden. As for hte image, I too think it is glass.

Joe did that? Aaaw, what a stand up guy he is. Gotta love this place and its concerned members. A big happy family indeed. Im glad you made it through and that you found your way home. I bet that was a surreal drive for sure, i cant even imagine how something like that must look. I realise i live quite a sheltered life here by the polar cirkle. This is a very beautiful abstract piece by the way. Havent got a clue what it is though, LOL. But i do love the colors in it. Have a wonderful Halloween, have some candy on me. #:O)

Happy to see you're back posting and to hear you and your family have made it through the hurricane Wilma. Was wondering what about you. A fascinating abstract you have here, Kort! Me too, I think it's a glass object. Brilliantly captured!

Beautiful. I see the 90%/10% deal, but I don't see what it is. Been through the hurricane thing too. You did the right thing!

Whoa! That looks like fun! Glad to hear you got out of town...probably the smartest thing to do. My nephew in Naples made it through also. His restaurant is up and running again after minor damage, so all is well!
