Love the arts in all their forms: Fine Art, Music, Writing, etc. A traditional painter for many years, my introduction to painting on the computer came in 1999. As time goes by I find myself spending more and more time with my tablet and pen in hand. Guess I could have a worse addiction. Since the begining of 2006 I have immersed myself into the wonderful world of photography. I have learned so much in that time and feel ready to share my stuff with you now. I'm sorry I've been away so long, but stay tuned for a daily flood of my recent captures, :)
BIO
Hello everyone! My name is John Minelli. For as long as I can remember I have had a love of the arts in all of their forms and have been striving to be the be the best that I can be. Even though I have been creating art for many years, I still feel like an infant. I find it fascinating that every time that I pick up a brush, pencil or tablet and pen I still learn something new. Although I live in Savannah, GA, USA., I have a great love of Europe; especially Italy. I spent several years working in the Middle East and took several vacations in Europe. I fell in love with Rome and plan on going back to Italy as soon as possible.

The first person I thought of was Catherine Zeta-Jone when I saw the thumb. I think it's a great painting.

clifftoppler. I'm glad the greenery doesn't look like a tree cuz it's Ivy on the wall. You're right though (I got lazy and didn't finish it. I will though and switch pics when completed. I don't do the layer thing though. I'm still suffering from traditionalist leanings. Thank you all for your comments.

I won't comment on the picture more, for it is yours (well, not really! It's mine while I peep at it.), but the layers thing! I do heartily recommend. Thus Painter, Photoshop, they come into their own. For instance, with the model on her own layer, you could transpose her to many different situations by simply clicking between background layers. You can also control transparency. Anyway, 'nuff said (more than enough, probably - but Painter is a potent tool) Cliff
