Description
THE END ZONE
"Look! It couldn't have been *football*... how could you carry a thing like this?" [pop, crackle, rattle, rattle, rattle] "Ain't never gonna work!"
"Mebbe three-legged?"
"Nah!"
"You MUST be kidding!"
"It had to have been *headball*... like this!" [pop, thump]
"But if you tucked it tight like that, how could you see anything but ribs?"
"Did Corrigan see?"
"Don't pick on him! He might want to play some more."
"Sorry"
"What about the goalies?"
"Were there goalies?"
"We went for goals, didn't we? So... there must have been goalies!"
"But we only have one end zone."
"Fine, fine, put 'em both up there! Give 'em each a shovel. OK? OK!!!"
"Let's get playin'!"

Due apologies and thanks to odeatholife (BTD-Skeleton), Stonemason (the Crypt), ccox (the cloudscape).
This was my entry in last month's Sports Contest over at Planit3D.
And, yes, you'd have to be truly warped to think of an open grave as an End Zone, but game designers are not normal people, and if there is an afterlife, we'll still be inventing and playing games... and arguing over the rules!
I apologize for the formatting of the conversation not showing the multiple speakers. Sound effects would be good, too!
