You never know with nature!! Found this on one of my trips in the nearby forest. Never seen such symbiosis. Or is it not allowed to call this symbiosis, because one is dead...or not?? Thanks for all your nice comments on my last upload, "Do The Dragonfly #2"!! Enjoy and have a wonderful weekend!!

Ahh.. but it is not dead or is it? Usually a fire will bring forth new life with the seeds of conifers. Excellent shot! Beautiful colors.

Hmmm, parasitic would be more appropriate IMHO, the fungi digest the stuff in this fir-cone, but I don't know whether it's causing damage to the seeds or not. Beautiful capture, great find!
