Description
This is an image I've been working on for quite a while. The goal is to create a 2x3 foot "painting" to hang on a large wall of our great room. It's getting "close" - the only thing I'm SURE that still needs tweaking is the distribution of aspen and evergreen trees on the hills in the distance. Having said that, I would LOVE to hear any constructive comments you may have for me!
Thanks to all the folks here, who have shared knowledge and been a constant source of inspiration! The trees and plants were rendered individually and included as 2D picture objects. The sky is from a photo I took. The moose is the only thing I didn't create from scratch - it's from vistainternetproducts.com. Post was done in PSP9.
Thanks in advance! Robin

This has a 'painterly' quality that I like very much. I'm not sure it belongs in the Bryce gallery (maybe 2D gallery) but if it was set-up, composed and initially rendered in Bryce, the choice is yours... ...and you're right, the trees on the distant hill do need a little bit of tweaking. Also, the trees in the middle ground could be toned down a bit - the bright yellow is too close in value to the foreground aspens - just my opinion. Otherwise, an excellent picture and it has my vote.

Thanks very much for the feedback! Yes, it was 100% composed and rendered in Bryce before post processing - maybe I should back off on the PSP Virtual Painter plugin a bit, I'll play around with that.

I like the paint effect that you have created it works well, i believe it will add to the image when placed on your wall. I find the yellow hits out at me too much, but an excellent image.

The thumbnail does NOT do justice to this image. I 'almost' didn't look at it but I am glad i did! This is superb! As for woodkz's comment about the yellow... I suspect that when you print it out, the yellows won't be quite so saturated. I would like to see a detail of a piece of this at the full print resolution; just to see what kind of quality you've got in your original file.
