I've been doing digital art for a few years, and tend towards a fantasy/sci-fi genre, but am not limited to it.
I use primarily male subjects because if I'm going to work at a piece for hours, I might as well enjoy looking at it, plus, EVERYONE uses females, especially nude, which is just boring. No NANV pictures for me. ("NANV" = "Not ANOTHER nude Victoria"). Sadly, this is why I'll never be "Artist of the Month".Â
Well, that and I'm slower than dirt when it comes to art.Â
Oh, and despite my subject matter, I am female and proud of it, thank you. ;)

BIO
I came from an artistic family - my father (who was also an engineer) played french horn in the symphony for many years, and my mom was a professional ballet dancer with a love for art history that eventually became the subject of her Masters Degree. I was an only child and over the years I studied (to varying degrees of success) art, writing, film, ballet and modern, clarinet, acting, and even bagpipe (for about a year). A lot of these didn't pan out, but I am still able to draw experience from all of them.
In college, I double majored in Film Production and Graphic Design, and it was there that I truly learned to embrace my geek side, getting into comic books, RPGs, and video games, which somehow lead to more writing and art. While I didn't have much in the way of computer training, I had friends who were and picked up a lot from them. I like to think my works draw from all aspects of my background and the things I've learned not just in a technical sense, but in a psychological sense as well. I also believe you have to try new things, and occasionally take some critical lumps if you're ever going to improve. We're always learning. :)
Currently I am a graphics designer/web designer/print designer/multimedia designer/whatever else needs designing designer at a local video production/advertising house. But what I really want is to win the lottery. ;)

Holy crud, I did it. 22 images, a little over three months, and hours of lost sleep, and it's finished! I probably should have left it at pic 20, but I'd already started the epilogue by the time I finished 20, so I needed closure, darnit! :D I do wish I could have spent more time on it though, but over the past three months, lotsa things have gotten backed up and honestly I've devoted all the time to it I can. :( I've learned a lot on this project both technical and visual. I know it helped me as an illustrator, and I recommend trying a narrative project like this to others, maybe not on this scale, but sometime, try to tell a little story instead of sticking with the same old same old. I want to thank everyone who toughed it out through the entire run or just came in late and stayed. You guys are the best. You're why this got finished. Otherwise, I might have given up long ago. Speaking of which, I may not do another story for a while, but I'm not giving up the genre either. :) If you're just tuning in, I suggest you use the navigation links above to read the story from the beginning as it was intended, not waiting for a new part every few days. :) Thanks again everyone.

claps her hands Wonderful end to your story! I am sad to see it is finished, but I am glad it is a happy ending for Rinn and Jessa. I do hope you will be doing another story sometime. I really enjoyed this one. But I also know how much time gets into the creation of such a story with illustrations. So congratulations on sticking with it till the end! :)

A wonderful ending for a fantastic story! I so enjoyed reading this and the illustrations were awesome. I'm glad you'll be continuing on to other stories, other adventures and I look forward to seeing them!

Exquisite! An awesome, thrilling and rounded off story with a happy ending - this is a rarity in Rendoland. Usually a series goes on and on (I know of what I'm speaking) or it ends abrupt (and mostly bad), or it breaks off (bad as well). - But don't think that this round story sated our appetite - au contraire. We want more! When shall you bewitch us with your next tale? How about yesterday?
