Description

this is as far as I went down before I turn back. My son went all the way down and camp there for the night and I finded a paking lot to sleep in the car. I did take a shower for there is camp grounds there but all I did was go there after the ranges place for the campgrounds close[close at 8p.m.][cost $10 a night to camp] and I took a shower and left to find a parking lot that was almost empy. [tried one by a hotel there but too much noises.] We did camp there in the camping spaces and it was fine. I got there when the ranger place to collect the money $10 a night was close and as I was leaveing in the morning they ask for the money. I told them I got lost and so I did not pay lol I feeled bad about that[ when you on a shoestring money on holiday you might do that too lol and worse] why I telling this story; to show I human[people say I a loose canon] thanks for looking and reading and commenting and votes too

LOL. I camped out in shelter belts. Great pic Jock. If you're a loose cannon, wonder what that makes me? ;-)

Well, you don't have to tell me about a shoestring buget, I invented it! LOL :P What ever it takes to have a trip with your son... I'm sure the Rangers would understand, they're not as heartless as everyone thinks, I know, because I have several friends that are Park Rangers! LOL :P

I love the lighting and the composition in this, great shot! Hey, I know the art of saving money, I once camped in my VW Van for the summer, and it was never in paying camp grounds! Yea, just me and my dogs, it was fun! 8-)

excellent view Jock. I wish I would have went down but was short on time. to do the canyon justice one must go there to be going to the canyon ,not Vegas.

All in All the idea behind your image is good but the exicution is not great at all, out of focus and really very blury... But I do like the clouds in the sky and the steep wonder of the cliff.

Wonderful place to visit! Great picture and your orientation helps give some idea of the heights/depths involved, over 8000 feet or 2500 meters in places IIRC. You show a nice contrast in lighting from full sunlight to deep shadows in this image, that can be hard to capture as good as the human eye. -V-

OM .. what heights ! not to talk about depths ! I can see how breathtaking it really must be being there for real !! Most excellent shot .. amazing how you could have everything there .. the bottom where the ppl are .. and the top too - in one picture .. that is truly amazing ! V
