Time for an update. Still creating fractal and loving it. It helps keep me sane. Apophysis is still the program of choice for creating fractal art. There are many amazing programs to choose from.Â
So much art, so little time.Â
We have lost fractal artists to the grim reaper. People who will live on through their art. People we miss and always will. People who made a difference, a better one, in our lives and people that we were blessed to have known.Â
Have lost a few people to life, and that hurts too. It is strange how distance doesn't stop love, nor circumstance, nor time.Â
Treasure what you have...

Leann, without knowing what "specific effect" you had in mind, I can't say whether you achieved it or not. However, considering the title, I'd say your background is very suitable in that it is of a billowy, smoky nature and subtle and un intrusive enough for the transparency of the primary image. The smoke and fire of the bg is quite dragon-like. The shape of your flames are certainly consistent with your title, and are wonderfully abstract. The wispy, dream-like consistency of your subject relates well with the aloofness of dragons. IMHO, you have achieved an excellent atmosphere of fantasy with an intriguing subject. Wonderfully done.

Too cool for words, Leanndra! A misty, mesmerizing beauty that sets free the imagination. VOTE

I think I see what you are going for here!! I think you should tone down the fog over the main part of the image to bring it out more. Other than that OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THIS ROCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Furthermore, WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Lovely structure and depth..in my humble opinion in the moment, it seems that a dynamic variation of this image would eventuate if the muted yellows were modified to dense redgolds..I think..(!) ....

Ask and you shall receive: I see a rooster in the background (red). There is certainly a rotating effect. The blacks aren't abrupt. Symmetrical design but not exactly so. The frame implies lighting from upper left. The colours are muted. In fact there is an overall softness with the most distinct shapes in the centre (yellow-cream). The sense of motion suggests the title could be "Stirring Dragons," (what is the name for a baby dragon?). The weight is at the bottom (where it should be) and is emphasised by placing the lightest part of the image top-centre. The composition looks right to me as do the colours. How about "Flight of the Cockerel," for a title. You could add "Fear of Waking Dragons." Anyway I have Spoke (they swirl too). Cliff.

This has become a wonderful Apo. Your postwork is very good and certainly not too much.It has beautiful colours and a very nice atmosphere. Personally I would have embossed or sharpened some parts in the front to get some more depth. Great work anyway !!

This is superb, I don't know what you where trying for, but you must have done something right! I like the transparency effect and I can still see the colors, very well defined not faded out, which really enhances your work. It has lots of cosmic motion, the fog or cloud effect really makes it look like a constellation seen during the time of Blood On The Moon. One of you best or should I say, best of the best!!!!

I like the pastel pallette and fog a lot. The main design has a nice flow and balance. There seems to be an intenseity that is implied more than shown, especially near the center.

I thought it was fractal layers until I read your text. however much post work one does is up to them until they are happy with the results. I personally prefer very little additional things to flames, but that is me. I think your image is very well done. glad you are back

Didn't know you'd left, sweets! Very smokey indeed..fits the title you gave it very well. It's different from anything you've done to date. But awesome as always!
