Yes it is I, ebsmooth, undercover of course... I scrapped the old gallery due to inconsistencies in quality and format. I wanted a more presentable, professional looking gallery. I submit the EricSBauer gallery for your viewing pleasure. BIOWith my camera I bring to you the gritty and sometimes dark side of life, the everyday things that are often overlooked. My mission is to find echoes of the past and give them a voice in the now, to find the beauty in all things "ugly".
Tools used:
Nikon D70 18-70mm
Nikon Capture 4: all I use this for is the handling of the RAW files. It can be done in
Photoshop CS but there is more options in Capture. This step consists of exposure comp and white balance adjustments where needed.
Photoshop CS: all files are converted to Lab Color to unsharp mask the light channel then its back to RGB for conversion to black and white. For this step I choose a channel mixer adjustment layer for the simple fact that I can make changes to the .PSD file if needed or if I wish to see the image in color. After all that I add a border, nothing fancy or elaborate, just a simple white border to emulate what the prints will look like.
The above steps are the same for every image I do post work on. The settings I use vary from photo to photo and always to suit my personal taste.
Prints of all my work are available for sale. If interested just drop me a line and arangements can be made.
And that's my story, what my photos and I are all about.
Thank you for your visit, it's very much appreciated!

Love it. How old is this building? Must be pretty old. Love the lines, curves, in this post. Aloha

it's actually the underside of a bridge that was built in 1907.

Beautiful tones of B&W here but I'm not sure about the compo. Maybe too much of that wall on the left IMHO. Beautiful lighting and mood.
