Description

Another visitor to my feeder, this one is an immature Nutmeg Mannikin. Immatures are light brown with buffy underparts. This guy was all puffed up and begging to be shot, so here he is. Thanks so much for your valuable comments to this bird series, I hope to post more as the birds continue to visit..Aloha to All!

Wintertime is coming, so we're collecting food for the hundreds of birds visiting our garden these months(in spite of the cats). Never managed in such a perfect shot as this one is.

I am beginning to envy you! If I put out a bird feeder where I live, I will probably only get crows!! This is a beautiful picture. The bird is so proud and looks quite content. What a great shot!

SMAAAAAAACK BOFF BANG WHIP SLAP...No, its not an old episode of "Batman and Robin" but its me slapping you!!! All your birdshots have been "WOW" But this takes the prize. This gets an "WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOW" even. Amazing capture buddy!!! Such perfect DOF, and such fantastic crispness. You should really sell these to the "birdie-book-publishing" companies. Have a wonderful day!!!! #:O)

As nice as the others of this superb series. An advice: if you don't have a long depth of field, take care to have to focus right on the eye (rather than on a branch or any other secondary subject). Superb anyway !

LOL Andreas gets so dramatic LOL dont 'cha just love it!!!! LOL But he's right.. this one gets the prize... its beautiful. I'd love to know your setup there... funny how we have 20 acres of wooded land here, but not enough trees close to the house to hang feeders... I'll have to get creative I think.. gorgeous shot.. love your bird phorography!
