My bio, as if it matters. BIOIf there is one constancy in my life it is writing. I have dabbled in art, both 2D and 3D, but am wise enough to know that the visual arts are not my forte. So while I may dabble in Poser, or Vue, or 3D modeling it is and will always remain just that dabbling. Enjoyable to be sure, but not my creative passion. What I really like to do is write.
I was first drawn to Poser do illustrations, or more properly, visualizations of story settings, characters, and concepts. That in turn lead me to Renderosity, which in turn lead me to Vue, and 3D modeling. Unfortunately it soon became apparent that I was spending far too much time on trying to master the graphics that I was neglecting the writing not a good thing for a writer.
So now I have, in a sense, come home. I now rarely use my 3D applications (though I try to stay abreast of Wings 3D) and spend almost all of my time here at Renderosity in the Writer's Forum. There I have met some extraordinary people and come to regard quite a few of them as friends though we've never met. Thanks, Crescent, for starting the Writer's Forum. It has become my true home at Renderosity.
I'd also like to acknowledge two other people over in the Writer's Forum, dialyn and tjames. Dialyn is one of those special people you meet on-line who goes above and beyond the call of duty; ever helpful, always encouraging. And tjames is the guy responsible for me delving into poetry, something I had never done before answering his poetry challenges. Now I find I enjoy writing poetry very much. A sincere thanks to both of you.

I agree, as I can feel it too, and it is not like that here, this is the time of year, people get out, the whether is perfect. Yet, your poem written so well I felt it, I felt sleepy longing for a cozy fire to read by and a cup of hot cocoa Excellently done, and thank you for sharing!

Just an excellent written work! The kind I'd love to be able to write.

Beautiful piece. I love the flow and how you joined all the stanzas together with the last word, except for the last one. It worked well. You captured the mood of winter on it's way wonderfully.

Midwest winters for ya. Unbearably cold and bleak. All trace of green grass disappears. Thanks for sharing this with us, Jon.
