It definately looks nice! The atmosphere around earth looks a bit strange and the lower right corner also looks strange. I like the sun though...

I'm think the atmosphere is a little to harsh. I've had some good results placing a volume omni light in the center of the planet and then adjusting the fall off.

With such a bright sun, I think there are too many stars visible. Thin them out a bit. And what is the vertical line just to the left of the sun which seems to go all the way down the image?

about the atmosphere, ever seen spaceballs? kinda reminds me of that planet. Thinning out the stars would be a good idea too.
