You've made a nice model of a very ferocious looking ant! The hairs look just right and anatomically he is pretty good. I hesitate to offer two criticisms. The mandibles might look a little better if they were done as seperate objects rather than being fused to the head the and feet need some little claws on the ends. Can't have him slipping around! ;-)

I agree with sailor about the mandibles, great job!!, I find organic modelling its more difficult than objects.

I don't have the knack for modeling, but if I ever do try it I hope to do just half as well as this. Excellent work! V

Thanks to all for your comments, constructive criticism and tips are always welcome, I was in two minds whether to make the jaws separatley or just extrude them from the head and went for the latter, but I agree with Sailor Ed, they do look a bit immobile.

Beautiful artwork as usual. Your characters always strike a sympathetic chord... he's a nice ant who looks to me like he's tuckered out from all that hard work and the bright sun. There's a story here. Great modeling, textures and render... yes, the mandibles might be better developed. Keep up the wonderful work!
